Healing

Short film | UK | 2 mins

A poetic exploration of mental health within the British Asian community, shaped by lived experience and cultural identity.

The film draws from confidential interviews exploring grief, identity, addiction and belonging. A poem written from the research becomes the spine of the piece, unfolding through a visual metaphor of a damaged sari slowly repaired. Healing is shown not as a return to what was, but as transformation.

Commissioned by Warwickshire County Council.
Royal Television Society nominated.
